Welcome to Dé Tandenkliniek
According to Dé Tandenkliniek having bad teeth does not exist. That’s why we are sure that Dé Tandenkliniek can offer a solution for every ‘problem’. From the desire to have straight, white teeth, to fixing a cavity or even a complete dental reconstruction. Annemie Grobbink and her team are passionate, dedicated professionals, who focus on personal attention and the patient’s satisfaction. We procure our patients to have a long-lasting, bright smile and healthy teeth.
Our View, our approach
At Dé Tandenkliniek we do not do quick-fixes. We work from a holistic approach. The word Holism is based on the Greek word ‘Holon’, which means ‘Whole’. Holism considers the idea that everything is interrelated. Dé Tandenkliniek strongly believes in this way of thinking: we look at the teeth as an integral part of the face.
A Holistic view
Many dental problems and imperfections (aesthetical or not) are caused by the mutual alignment of the jaws and/or the functioning of the masseter (chewing) muscle. By analysing the aesthetics and the functioning of jaws and teeth, and tracing back possible problems, we are able to design appropriate treatment leading to long-lasting and natural results.
After the treatment, regular maintenance is the only thing needed. No more unpleasant surprises, a beautiful smile and healthy teeth. Everyone deserves that!
What we do
Regular check-up and maintenance
Porcelain facings or white filling material
Orthodontics for adults
Replacing dark fillings
Aesthetic gum correction
“Our motto? Smile out loud!”
Our philosophy is that beautiful teeth are the logical result of good teeth. From our Holistic view we see good teeth as a guarantee for a life without dental worries. Therefore, our first concern is not to make a ‘pretty picture’ but to bring teeth to optimal health; that will automatically result in beautiful teeth. Position, shape and colour of your teeth give us tremendous insight. We study the aesthetics of mouth and teeth by taking portrait and close-up photos. These photos often tell us what ‘went wrong’. Once we have established that, we can apply the right treatment as well as restoration (if necessary) that is durable.
“Always something going on with your teeth?!”
During the first consult we will extensively analyse how your teeth are functioning. How well the masticatory apparatus is functioning is an important factor in a wide variety of complaints. Because most people are so used to how their teeth feels and function, they are unaware of the fact that their teeth may not be functioning correctly. A dysfunctional masticatory apparatus can be caused by either unbalanced pressure on the teeth or an overcharge of the lower jaw on the upper jaw. By carefully examining the cause we are able to determine proper treatment and restore damage.
“Healthy teeth are important and within reach for everyone.”
Pain will generally manifest itself when the cause of that pain is in an advanced state. We work hard to be ahead of that situation. A good reason to have your teeth and gums checked regularly. Generally, we advise to have this done once or twice a year.
Obviously, we will look for cavities but additionally we will check your gums and the overall functioning and stability of your teeth.
“To be able to grow old with your own teeth it’s imperative to keep them healthy from a young age"
Many people have infected gums without even being aware of it. Gums get infected because of a thin layer of dental tartar forming on the teeth. Chronic gum infections may, over time, lead to erosion of jawbones. This process often happens over a longer period of time without noticeable complaints. Eventually it may lead to teeth getting loose and ultimately loss of teeth.
During hygienic dental treatment we will remove all dental tartar and we will provide instructions on how to keep your teeth clean yourself with a minimum of effort. The result? Healthy gums and great looking teeth.
“A bright smile”
Due to a change in European law the only effective way to whiten your teeth is ‘home bleaching’. For this procedure we will provide you with a see-through tray (like a mouthguard) and whitening gel which enables you to whiten your teeth at home yourself. This process generally takes a couple of days and will take from 30 to 60 minutes per day. Added benefit is that you can decide when you are happy with the result and that you will be able to use the tray again whenever you feel you need to touch up the shade of your teeth.
Dé Tandenkliniek offers ‘home bleaching’ for €295,-
“Maximum result with minimal treatment”
Discoloured, broken, worn down or crooked teeth: often they can be fixed easily with veneers. Facings are thin porcelain or composite (white filling material) facades placed over original teeth. We prefer to apply veneers as non-invasive as possible. What we mean by that is that we will always try to not clip of anything of the original tooth or teeth. Choice of material of the veneers depends on personal wishes and what is possible. Both materials come with pros and cons. Our experienced team will be happy to advise in order to come to an informed decision in consultation with you.
“Straight teeth for everyone”
Unjustly people often think that dental braces are exclusively for children who need dental adjustment. In fact, orthodontic treatment is not seldomly easier as well as faster for adults. Sometimes braces are exactly what is required to durably enhance teeth. Orthodontics are merely a small but intricate part of a broader treatment for realigning teeth. Generally treatments will take from 6 up to 9 months and rarely more than a year.
We use detachable, see- through braces by Invisalign as well as fixed in place braces with transparent brackets.
“Out with those heavy metals!”
Dark metal fillings (amalgam) are predominantly consisting of heavy metals. It is a liquid mercury and metal alloy mixture (silver, tin and copper).
Several studies have determined that amalgam fillings actually release mercury vapour. Additionally, amalgam does not stick to teeth which means that the filling is essentially logged in the cavity unattached. Under pressure or micro-movement, the filling can cause cracks which may ultimately chip off pieces of a tooth. In our opinion these alone are reasons to replace amalgam fillings with composite or porcelain. In addition to that, composite and porcelain are materials that have a natural colour which produces far more aesthetic results as opposed to amalgam.
Symmetry and harmony of white teeth and pink gums are the definition of Beautiful teeth.
No matter how white your teeth are; if there is a problem with your gums your teeth will never look their best. By problem we mean too much gum or not enough gum around the teeth.
Having too much gum, also known as having a ‘gummy smile’ means too much gum is exposed when a person smile.
When someone doesn’t have enough gum, it means that too much of “the neck” of the teeth is exposed.
Both conditions can be corrected, usually with minor surgery or orthodontic treatment.
“The ultimate solution for missing teeth or slackening dentures”
Dental implants are artificial titanium or zirkoniumoxide roots that can be applied in order to replace missing teeth or fixate slackening dentures.
To replace a missing tooth, a crown or bridge will be attached to an implant. When an implant is placed correctly and has a great looking crown it is nearly impossible to differentiate from natural teeth.
Implantology can also be used to give dentures more stability. Depending on specific circumstances, per jaw between 2 and 6 dental implants will be placed. With the use of a special system, dentures can then be locked onto the implants providing great stability which makes eating and chewing much more comfortable so you can truly rely on your teeth.
“To be able to grow old with your own teeth it’s imperative to keep them healthy from a young age”
Many people have infected gums without even being aware of it. Gums get infected because of a thin layer of dental tartar on teeth. Chronic gum infections can, over time, lead to erosion of jawbones. This process often happens over a longer period of time without noticeable complaints. Eventually it can lead to teeth getting loose and ultimately loss of teeth. Gum infection that leads to jaw erosion is called periodontitis.
Treatment of periodontitis starts with what is called ‘initial periodontal treatment’. Jaw erosion is measured at 6 locations per tooth and all teeth will be cleaned extensively. After that every individual will receive personalised recommendations on how to keep everything clean.
After several weeks of self-cleaning we will then evaluate the results and will be able to determine if further treatment is or isn’t necessary.
We enjoy sharing our passion and knowledge on high-end, affordable and aesthetic dentistry. With both our clients and colleagues. For instance, we produced an item about facings on the RTL4 TV show ’Medical Travel’. In an educational film we shared with colleagues our experience and advice on a new revolutionary product to make improved and more beautiful composite facings and fillings. Spring 2017, 2018 and 2019, Annemie Grobbink was the invited dentist on the ‘Hotter Than My Daughter’ TV show; she discussed the makeovers of various candidates with show hosts Gordon, Patty Brard and Bridget Maasland. We also edited some articles about case reports and extensive treatments
We are happy to share our knowledge with colleagues through lectures and hands-on training sessions. The main subjects are dental wear, orthodontics and aesthetic recovery. Each treatment plan and every lecture consist of the following components: first, the aesthetic analysis, followed by a thorough diagnosis. Only based on a clear diagnosis an evidence-based treatment plan can be drawn up. When developing the treatment plan, the different options must be considered carefully. The aim is to always procure minimal invasion.
Who we are
Restauratief Tandarts en eigenaar
Laura van der Parre
“I graduated in 1999 at the University of Amsterdam. Right from my professional start I wanted to understand why some dentures are beautiful and how it is possible that other people’s teeth constantly cause trouble. Why do teeth break down? Why do some people pay the dentist’s chair a painful visit every three months? What about people who dislike the aesthetics of their teeth, but always receive their dentist’s denial?”
Searching for an answer to her questions, from 2002 to 2005 Annemie worked at the "kroon-en brugwerk" clinic (clinic for crown and bridge-work) at the department of oral functionality of the Faculty of Dentistry in Amsterdam and later in various dental practices. From 2003 she attended intensive courses on orthodontics.
Her strength turned out to lie in the combination of knowledge on functional theory, dental crowns and bridges and orthodontics. By combining these disciplines, she is able to achieve a maximum aesthetic and functional result with minimal intervention. This minimally invasive dentistry, with minimal or no removal of healthy teeth or gums, ensures a beautiful and especially durable result. All healthy parts are left intact and only where necessary the position, colour and/or shape of the teeth is adjusted. An innovative and particularly personal way of working.
Her interest and specialization made Annemie open her own practice in Amsterdam in 2013, where she still shares her energy, passion and expertise, both working at her own practice and giving lectures, workshops or through publications.

“Choose a job you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life”
As a dentist’s daughter, Pieke’s interest in dentistry arose early on. She had an eye for detail and a passion for aesthetics. Having her mother as an example, she started her dental studies in 2009.
Right from the start, Pieke had a strong interest in restoring aesthetics in a natural way. This led her to study restorative dentistry. As a restorative dentist, she approaches the mouth from the point of view that when the teeth function properly, comfort and great aesthetics will follow.
Since her graduation, Pieke puts this philosophy into practice with great passion.
Since she works at Dé Tandenkliniek, she has specialized in becoming a recognized Restorative Dentist.
She does this under the guidance of Annemie Grobbink and by following postgraduate courses and curricula.

Since her childhood, Laura has been interested in dentistry and that passion has not disappeared.
Where it used to be about not having to work in a boring office, it is now about providing care and making contact with patients. In 2016 she started as a prevention assistant in geriatrics, where she worked with many people with dementia and somatic patients. In 2017, she also did a five-month internship at Erasmus MC, where she worked in the dental surgery and oncology department. In both cases, providing care and making contact with people comes first. Also, anxious patients are at the right place with her, she does everything very calmly, with lots of explanation and step by step. That’s why she is completely at her place at De Tanden Kliniek. She graduated as a dental-hygienist at Hogeschool InHolland in January 2019 and is a member of the NVM.
